That's not the case in Precinct 5, where longtime Constable Dennis Taylor was trounced by challenger Kenneth Bibby in a GOP race. In the Republican bid for Constable Precinct 3, it's Jim Blackmon and Scott McAuley in a runoff, with incumbent Dustin Rust finishing last. Wow! This news was worth staying up late for. Berman's gone! I'm not a fan of that old geezer and it's high time he enjoyed his retirement and reminiscing about the War of 1812.
Bless his heart, the man who wrote dispicable things to me when asked about his conservative beliefs looked like a fallen, whipped and wounded soldier last evening...his time in office was too long (so much for term limits), but long enough for him to milk the good ol' boy network. As a Democrat, I welcome a changing of the guard and hope Rep. Simpson remembers daily that he serves ALL the people in his district, not only teavangelical/repubs. May Mr. Berman enjoy his retirement in early 2013.
