TV is glamorous, huh?

I've chased tornadoes, been in the eye of a hurricane, been to prison (to interview a death row inmate) and been shot with pepper spray in the eyes.

As a crime beat reporter, I've covered tragedies, murders and trials from South Texas in Corpus Christi and San Antonio to Oklahoma City.

I feel privileged to be here to cover hard news in East Texas.

My family is from Jacksonville originally; where my Grandmother lives. ("Hi G-mama!")

My Uncle Larry and his wife, Judy and all my cousins, Laura, Ema, Nick and their families all live in Tyler.

So, it's nice to be around my family after all the traveling I've done in the news business.

Ok, the biz may not be as glamorous as you'd think, but I love my job and telling you what you deserve to know.

And yes, we do our own make up!
