I'd say it's about time for me to update my bio. It's been two years since I started at KETK and a lot has changed. There has never been a dull moment so far....it's been a great ride.
I no longer report during the week and anchor on the weekends. I now anchor the 6 and 10 o'clock broadcasts. I also bring you our “Your Turn” segment at 5. At 6 I work beside my boss, Neal Barton. No pressure there. Shari Dunn and I bring you the latest news at 10. I am honored and elated to be at a place where nothing is ever the same. I love coming into work on a daily basis, NOT knowing what will be “the news of the day.”
The “broadcasting bug” bit me when I was working at a sporting goods store in Denver, Colorado. I interned at KDVR, FOX 31 in the “Mile High City”, made a bunch of mistakes in Great Falls, Montana, and tried sports and went back to news in Kearney, Nebraska before signing on here at KETK.
I can't think of a better city to settle in than Tyler. My wife and son have fallen in love with the area. My four-year-old “Thomas the Tank Engine” enthusiast son told me on the way to school that he never wants to leave. My wife and I recently found out that our second child, a boy, will be joining us in the outside world in February. We like the name Logan, but I'm welcome to suggestions.
Please drop me a line with a story idea, or conversation starter. Thanks for watching.
