Dewhurst gives $6 million to his own campaign, Cruz raises most from others (updated numbers)

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, spending liberally from his personal fortune in a bid to bury his Republican primary opponents, donated $6 million of his own money to his front-running Senate campaign, his campaign disclosed late Friday.
While Dewhurst’s personal contribution will extend his financial edge over former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, his closest rival in Senate polls, Cruz’s campaign has raised more money than Dewhurst since the beginning of April.
Cruz and Dewhurst raised five times as much as former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and more than ten times as much as also-ran Craig James.
