TYLER — Arp Elementary school is in a contest with Clorox "Power a Bright Future" to win a grant for a new playground.

The school with the most votes texted or online wins a grand prize of $50,000, with 2nd place in catagory winning $25,000. 

The 2nd-5th graders at Arp Elementary desperately need a new playground.

Their previous playground area was removed to make room for a gymnasium and there are no current funds to rebuild a playground.
