Longview — Longview taxpayers are getting a good return on their investment through economic development incentives awarded in the past year, according to LEDCO officials.

Susan Gill, executive director of Longview Economic Development Corp., on Wednesday said the entity approved nearly $1 million in incentives for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.

“Our board approved $850,000 in incentives for three existing company expansions that created 126 new jobs and retained 24 jobs with initial capital investments totaling $10.4 million,” she said during the LEDCO board’s annual meeting held at the Summit Club downtown.
