One man is in jail after attempting to steal copper.

Officers say they found 51-year-old Emory Gonerway junior cutting copper pipes at a room in the Elmbrook Inn on Estes Parkway.

Police say when Gonerway say them .. he ran out and jumped off the second story catwalk -- running into the woods.

Officers chased and tasered the man ... he is now facing several charges.

The second man is still on the loose.
