New stats for Texas when it comes to latinos...

Nationwide, from July 2006 to last year there was an increase of 1.4 million hispanics in that year alone.

The census say Texas now adds up to nine million hispanics.

A lot of that growth is happening here in East Texas.

The top ten states that saw the growth rates in their populations were in the Southeast.

Tonight at five and six we'll take a look at the schools and how latino growth is affecting education.
