Red Stick Sax Quartet

The SFA School of Music will present the Red Stick Saxophone Quartet in a guest artist recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. The quartet was formed in 1997 by Brian Utley, SFA assistant professor of music, and three other saxophone players when they were all students at Louisiana State University.
Included on the program are "Restless" by SFA Associate Professor Stephen Lias, "Vonnegut: Suite for Saxophone Quartet" by quartet member John Perrine, and the world premiere of "Sonatina for Saxophone Quartet" by SFA composition student Lance Trevino.
