TMA Holiday Party and Preview "Illuminating Nature" by Billy Hassell

Tyler Museum of Art members and guests are invited for the Museum's annual Donor Appreciation Holiday Party and sneak preview for the new exhibition "Illuminating Nature: Recent Paintings and Works on Paper by Billy Hassell" from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at the TMA, located on the Tyler Junior College main campus off East Fifth Street. The evening will feature festive holiday food, spirits, and a gallery talk by Hassell, the prolific Texas artist and environmentalist best known for his large, vividly colorful interpretations of the flora and fauna of the Lone Star State. His work hangs in the permanent collections of the Dallas Museum of Art, Fort Worth Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston – and in the private collection of former President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush. The "Illuminating Nature" exhibition continues through March 23 at the TMA.
