Mostly Cloudy, Few Showers Possible Today

An upper level storm system and associated cold front brought some showers and storms into the area during the morning hours. However, drier air is starting to push in from the East, causing most of the rain to retrograde back toward the cold front. As the front slowly pushes South and East this afternoon, we'll still see that chance of showers in the area. Rain chances will continue into the overnight hours, with only a slight chance of remaining showers on Saturday. The sun may even come out by Saturday afternoon.

Rain and Thunderstorms Possible Today

An upper level storm system and associated cold front are causing showers and thunderstorms this morning which are slowly pushing into the East Texas. While most of East Texas will see a good shot at seeing this rain, it looks as if the Western counties will see the highest rain amounts of generally 1-2" of rain. The rain should gradually shift South and East, leaving only a slight chance of rain for our Eastern areas this afternoon. Rain chances will continue into the overnight hours, with only a slight chance of remaining showers on Saturday. The sun may even come out by Saturday afternoon.
