AUSTIN - Two years ago, a driver tased repeatedly by Austin Police is hoping a jury of his peers will take his side.

He says his civil rights were violated after he ran from a crash site. He testified he never heard cops give him directions when they tried to arrest him.

The story he told jurors was different from the one he told Internal Affairs officers in October 2005.

The man says he was repeatedly tased, punched and kicked by officers while handcuffed.
