...More specifically the Back Pack Tax. Funds from this tax, passed by state lawmakers to help with the up-keep of state parks, wasn't going where it was supposed to.
Steps are being taken to put the money where it belongs.
"Jones" says the state of state parks has forced him to camp in Arkansas:
"This is the states chance to bring in some income to cover part of the cost for keeping the parks up."
"GP" has a suggestion:
"Since TX-DOT is so short of money and the highway infrastructure is heading down hill, why not give this money to TX-DOT ? State parks should be privatized if they are so popular."
Topic number 2 - "Cowboys Tix." Jerry jones got his new stadium and soon he'll have more money, from higher ticket prices, courtesy of Cowboys fans.
Are you okay with that ?
"I can't see how an average person will be able to afford the cost of going to a Cowboys game!" This person says.
"Sooner or later, all of the professional teams will reach a point where the cost of seats will be so high attendance will drop way down and then what happens ?"
This from "charlie" :
"Sure....I'll go see them play, when their salary for 7 months of 'work' matches mine. Or vice versa !"
