TYLER - East texans continue to deal with high gas prices.

But, there are options out there to help you save a buck or two.

Tyler and Longview both have bus systems.

And what most people don't know-- is there's also the East Texas Rural Transit.

The director of transportation tells us, they serve 14 counties.

They cater to all areas, except for those people who live within Tyler and Longview city limits.

And, it's catching on.

Officials say a lot of people are taking advantage of these services.

As a matter of fact, officials say there is a 16-percent increase of rider-ship in just the last month.

And, more and more people are inquiring about their services.

The cost of these services-- 2 bucks per trip.

So, if you go to-and-fro, it'll cost you a mere 4 bucks.

It's about the same price as a gallon of gas these days.

For more information, you can call 1-800-590-3371.
