Two topics up for discussion in this edition.

The first, oral contraceptives for feral hogs.

That's right, researchers are trying to cut down on the number of feral hogs tearing up East Texas land.

The hogs and other pests would take the pill through baited food.

Jerry isn't a fan :

"This has been tried with several animals including deer in other states, it costs a lot of money and does not work. If you have a hog problem call in some hunters with dogs. Why would you catch a sow, give it something that may or may not work, then turn her loose to tear up a field ?"

This person agrees:

"Let the hunters shoot or trap them, the meat is as good as deer meat to me if it's fixed properly. It's a year-round sport for hunters and trappers."

Topic number two, tele-marketer fraud.

Wednesday morning we told you about the launch of the largest crackdown on "tele-phonies" ever by the Federal Trade Commission.

Should tele-marketing be made illegal ? That's what we asked you.

This person thinks so:

"They prey on the elderly and home-bound and are a nuisance to everyone else. There is no reason for them to call your home. If we wanted what they were selling, we would go buy it!"

"I hate tele-marketers as much as the next person," says Bob. "However, I think they should be regulated not made illegal. I really do not like the government getting involved in free enterprise. If tele-marketing did not work, they would not spend the money to do it."
