Houston brothers accused of fatally shooting mother's boyfriend

A Brazoria County grand jury has indicted two men accused of fatally shooting their mother's boyfriend in his Houston-area home. Brazoria County Sheriff's Department officials on Friday said 18-year-old Jared Levi Coleman and his brother, Travis Wade Coleman, were indicted on murder charges the day before. Sheriff's investigator Darrell Collins says 41-year old Ray Sambrano was dead in his bed when deputies arrived Jan. 19. He had been shot several times. Collins says "it was no secret the boys hated" Sambrano and blamed him for some of their mother's problems. Jared Coleman was arrested at Pearland home Thursday. His 20-year-old brother was already in jail on unrelated charges. Bond for each man was set at $200,000. Neither could be reached for comment. It was unclear whether they had attorneys.
