The local Tea Party is angry with Senator John Cornyn. And it has nothing to do with Texas.
It’s about the Alaska Senate race and their ready to protest.

Yes, the Texas Tea Party is in a state of high dudgeon about the Great White North. The vote count in the Republican Primary right now is neck and neck, and it pits a Tea Party candidate against the Republican establishment.

And they think Cornyn has chosen sides…

Senator Lisa Murkowski is in the race of her life against tea party candidate Joe Miller. The vote count is going on now, and the local tea party folks are worried that the Party is looking after its own.

Senator John Cornyn is the Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, whose job is to try to get Republican elected to the Senate.

But the race in Alaska is as tight as newly washed jeans and When the Tea Party got wind that an NRSC lawyer has flown in to talk with Senator Murkowski, they smelled a rat.

They are now ready to stage a protest at Senator Cornyn’s office downtown on Thursday.
But the Committee, and the Senator say it’s all a misunderstanding…

The Committee told us this afternoon that Alaska is considered a safe seat. Whoever win the primary will probably win in November.

They say, they’ve got much tougher races to fight than this one.

The Tea Party wants to make sure it stays that way.

Here is a quote from Senator Cornyn from a response to Wash Post Trent Lott article.
"The candidates are not ours to choose. . . . They're the choice of the primary voters in the states, and I think we should respect their choices." So Senator, how does sending an attorney to Alaska to help the incumbent count absentee ballots not contradict your statement? You say it doesn't matter which Republican wins. Your are wrong. Senator Murkowski is not conservative on some very important issues.

Senator Cornyn is a RINO. I quit listening to him some time ago. I will not vote for him ever. What a fraud he is and with no internal compass to steer him into right decisions.
