Click it or Ticket campaign begins Monday
TYLER - The ninth annual Click It or Ticket campaign begins Monday.
It's a two-week effort that warns drivers to either wear their safety belt or get a ticket.
Officials say new state laws that were enacted last year could mean even more tickets this year.
According to the new laws, all passengers in the back seat need to be buckled up and children younger than eight need to be in a safety seat.
Ticket fines cost between 25 and 250 dollars.
Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death for those between four and 44 years-old.
In Texas last year, more than 3,400 people were killed in traffic crashes on Texas roads.
