Illegal subtances in Overton

Our partners at the Longview News-Journal are reporting three people were arrested and a large quantity of drugs were seized during a raid on an Overton home this week.  Don Paul Haynes and Frances Irene Jernigan Haynes, both of Overton; and Christopher Marlo Florence of Tyler were held with out bond Friday in the Rusk County jail.

Police said officers seized crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, pills, heroin and a firearm.

Both Haynes were charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance, both felonies.

Florence was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of controlled substance.

The raid was on the residence of Don Paul Haynes in the 10,000 block of County Road 141D.
