SMITH COUNTY - A family's house is destroyed by fire this afternoon in Smith County.

It happened shortly after 11:00 this morning on F.M. 16 just east of F.M. 14.

Investigators say the family saw smoke coming from a water heater in the bedroom.

By the time crews arrived, they say the whole house was in flames.

No one was injured in the blaze, the exact cause is under investigation.
