Low level flooding led to the death of a Nacogdoches woman this morning.

The Nachogdoches County Sheriff's Office tells KETK that the vehicle the woman was in was swept from teh roadway.

The driver attempted to cross a flooded intersection of FM 95 south of Chireno.

Emergency crews rescued the driver who was holding onto a tree, but the passenger, 35 year old Chanda Pipes of Martinsville was not located for several hours.

Their vehicle was swept downstream and has yet to be recovered.

The sheriff's office is urging people not to attempt to cross flooded roadways, go around barricades or approach downed power lines.
