Longview, TX — Six people were arrested in Gregg County on Tuesday as part of a multi-county crackdown on parents who violated court orders to pay child support.
Three teams of Gregg County law enforcement officers began approaching parents shortly after 4 a.m., said Sheriff Maxey Cerliano.
All six suspects were wanted for contempt of court for failure to pay child support, according to Cerliano. One suspect was also charged with violating parole.
Cerliano said the suspects were held in the Gregg County Jail overnight, pending arraignment on the charges today.
He said his office conducts these roundups about once a year.
