TYLER - Last night near the intersection of fair and Belmead Lanes in Tyler, police pulled over a car that had been traveling too quickly down Broadway.

The officer noticed the driver seemed to be drunk.

When the officer asked the driver to get out of the car to do sobriety tests, he reportedly just drove away.

Police chased the man until his car stalled near Front and Lyons, where they arrested the driver.

The suspect is 48 year-old Scotty Reese of Tyler. He's charged with driving while intoxicated, evading arrest, and aggravated assault against a public servant.
