One East Texas town prepares to get "cash mobbed"

The city of Lindale is getting ready to be mobbed ...but it's not exactly in the way you might think.
"Cash mobs" are a way to encourage people in the community to support local small businesses by coming in and shopping.
Starting Oct. 2, one Lindale store will be highlighted from 4 to 6 p.m. each Tuesday through Nov. 20.
Everyone is invited to come in and spend $20 there during that short period of time, to create instant cash flow and an instant economic boost.
There will be plenty of specials and door prizes, too.
The Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce says it's a fun way to help promote small mom-and-pop stores in an age where the big wig companies often take over the marketplace.
The chamber says it would like to see an increase of between $500 and $1,000 for each business during their designated 2-hour period.
