Two Texas soldiers killed this week in Afghanistan

AFGHANISTAN - The Department of Defense says two soldiers from Texas were killed in Afghanistan Thursday.

Marine Lance Corporal Shane R. Martin of Spring was killed while supporting operations in Helmand Province in southwestern Afghanistan.

Captain Jason E. Holbrook of Burnet was killed when an improvised explosive device hit his military vehicle in the northeastern part of the country

At least one other soldier was also killed in that attack.
