Overnight house fire in Tyler

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire this morning at 1:19 a.m. at 4504 Gretna Green.  Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene.

Firefighters arriving on-scene reported fire involvement at the back of the house.  The occupant was awakened by an activating smoke alarm and was able to safely exit the home.  Investigators believe that the fire originated in the attic of the structure.  Firefighters were on the scene until around 4:00 a.m.  No injuries were reported.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
