Kaci Koviak joined the KETK news team in January 2011, as weekday morning co-anchor and co-host of East Texas Live.

Kaci is a Lone Star native and grew up in Athens, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University of Dallas in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Convergence Journalism and was an active member of Chi Omega. While in college, Kaci worked for non-profit organizations in both London and Greece as part of a communications cancer research team.

While covering the entertainment beat for SMU-TV her senior year, Kaci's most memorable interviews include action-movie celebrity Mark Wahlberg, Danny Boyle, who won the 2009 Emmy for Best Director in Slumdog Millionaire, and funny man Kevin James.

Prior to her return to East Texas, Kaci spent almost two years working in New York City. In addition, Kaci has worked in several newsrooms around the country, including NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams in their Washington DC bureau.

She couldn't be more content being back in East Texas. According to Kaci, there truly is no place like home!

In her free time, Kaci LOVES to cook, nap and spend as much time as she can outdoors.
