1 Dead, 10 Injured in Kaufman County Wreck

Kaufman County — One person is dead and 10 others injured following 2 vehicle crashes last night in Kauffman County.
Officials tell KETK the accidents happened just after 8 last night on FM 243 and FM 2515 near Terrell.
The first crash occurred when one driver attempted to pass the car in front of him and was hit head on by a ford truck.
A Tahoe then rear- ended the truck and the passenger was killed.
As another car approached the accident they were rear-ended by another vehicle.
Ten people were taken to a local hospital for extensive injuries.

More than one of the vehicles involved were leaving the illegal horse races held every sunday in Kaufman. If DPS and the sheriff's department would shut them down like residents have been asking them to do for months this would NOT have happened. This isn't the first wreck caused by these people but hopefully it WILL be the last.
