1 dead, 2 injured in three-vehicle wreck
A San Augustine woman was killed in a three-vehicle accident just south of Center Thursday afternoon.
Priscilla Louise Sharpton, 29, was driving a 2007 Dodge Stratus when it crossed the center strip and hit a 2006 Ford pickup driven by TeDarrian LeMorgan Houston, 20, also of San Augustine and a 2009 van, driven by Meng Chen, 37, of Monterey Park, Calif., according to a Department of Public Safety spokeswoman.
Sharpton was pronounced dead at about 3:35 p.m. following the 12:40 p.m. accident about 1.7 miles south of Center.
Houston was reported to be in stable condition at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview with arm and leg injuries and Chen remained in good condition at Shelby Regional Hospital in Center with a broken elbow.
Neither Sharpton or Houston were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
