1 killed, 1 injured after vehicle collides with tree in Jacksonville
Jacksonville, Texas (KETK) — One person was killed and another injured after a one-vehicle wreck in Jacksonville Tuesday night.
At 7:25 p.m., emergency crews were called to a crash in the 2200 block of Lakeshore Drive. When they arrived, authorities found a vehicle headed north had driven off the road and hit a tree, Jacksonville Police said. Detectives believe the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The driver, Justin Berry, 26, of Jacksonville, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, Jeremy Bradley, 27, of Jacksonville, was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
Officials say the windy road dips about six to eight feet where the accident occurred.
