18 wheeler on fire; heavy smoke, I-20 westbound lanes closed

Jackson Heights, Winona — UPDATE: DPS officials tell KETK both lanes on I-20 headed westbound are being reopened at this time. Smith County fire officials tell KETK no one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
KETK is getting reports that an 18 wheeler semi truck hauling frozen chickens is fully engulfed in flames. DPS has closed the westbound lanes on Interstate 20 near mile marker 757 and exit 571B. Winona Fire and Jackson Heights are responding, but asking for water supply back up. KETK has a crew on the scene and will bring you more details as they become available.
