A Texas A&M football player has turned himself into police for his part in an alleged assault in April.

Deshazor Everett, 21, and Floyd Raven Sr., 20, are both facing two counts of assault, punishable with up to one year in prison.

According to warrants which were issued on Friday, June 28, both also will be charged with one count of criminal mischief.

Raven turned himself in to the Brazos County Jail at around 11:00 a.m., on Monday morning and is expected to be processed and released on $4,000 bail.

Court documents state two men received injuries after being hit in the face by Everett and Raven during a fight at a College Station apartment complex.

Everett aquired national attention when he intercepted a fourth-and-goal pass by Alabama’s A.J. McCarron with less than two minutes left in A&M’s 29-24 victory in November 2012.

Raven recorded 16 tackles in 13 games in the 2012-2013 season.

Both players are expected to start for the Aggies this year.
