2 dead, 2 hurt in Texas High Plains plane crash
LEVELLAND, Texas (AP) - A small plane has crashed at a small
Texas High Plains airport, killing 2 people and injuring 2 others
The Federal Aviation Administration says the crash happened
about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at the Levelland Municipal Airport, about
30 miles west of Lubbock.
FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the single-engine Cessna 182
had originated its pleasure flight in Lubbock and was making
touch-and-go landings at the Levelland airport when it crashed.
He said the two survivors of the crash were airlifted to a Lubbock
hospital for treatment.
