2 on motorcycle die in Houston-area chase, crash

Houston, TX — Two people on a motorcycle have been killed in a Houston-area crash while being chased by law officers.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the chase began early Thursday on Highway 59 when deputies tried to stop the driver of a motorcycle for suspicion of speeding and obstruction of the license plate. The driver also faced an outstanding warrant for DWI and probation revocation
Asst. Chief Randy Johnson with the Harris County Precinct 5 Office says the chase ended around 1:45 a.m. Thursday when the motorcycle rear-ended another northbound vehicle. Johnson says the motorcycle operator was dead at the scene. His female passenger died later at a hospital.
