23 year-old Henderson man senteced to 10 years in federal prison

AS REPORTED IN THE HENDERSON DAILY NEWS:

TYLER - A 23-year-old Henderson man has been sentenced to federal prison for federal firearms and drug violations in the Eastern District of Texas, according to U.S. Attorney John M. Bales.

Jeremy Allen Creson pleaded guilty on Mar. 31 to possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced to 130 months in federal prison Tuesday.

Creson received 70 months for the gun violation and 60 months for the drug violation. U.S. District Judge Michael Schneider ordered that the sentences be served consecutively.

According to information presented in court in April 2009, Creson was in possession of a gun while distributing meth.
