KILGORE - A second-grader from Chandler Elementary is now in an alternative school after bringing a pellet gun to school.

Kilgore ISD officials say, the students in the boy's class told staff there was a weapon in his backpack.

Officials also say, the gun was not loaded.

The student will stay at Kilgore's alternative school until the district's investigation is complete.
