Three men were arrested in a Cherokee County narcotics bust on Friday.

Cherokee County Sheriff officials tell KETK, they executed a warrant at the house of Johnny Ray Birdwell, which was located just outside the Reklaw Community, just after 3:00pm.

Detectives Fred Butler and Michael Goff obtained a search warrant for the residence after a lenghty investigation into the sale of narcotics at the house.

A total of $1,333.00 was seized, along with approximately 5oz of crystal methamphetamine, packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia.

Three men were taken into custody at the house. The men were identified as Johnny Ray Birdwell, Brandon Wade Coats, and Donald Ray Guinn Jr.

All three men were charged with Manufacture / Delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 (Greater than 4 grams, but less than 200 grams), which is a first degree felony.

Birdwell is currently on parole for a previous felony conviction, and a will most likely be served with a parole violation in the coming days.

Guinn was also charged with Possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 (Less than 1 gram), which is a first degree felony.

Detectives located stolen property at the house, which resulted in a second search warrant being obtained and executed later on the same day.

More charges are possible and will be filed as the investigations are completed.
