TYLER — Saturday in Tyler, it was the 31st Rose City Chili Cookoff.

The yummy event kicked off in the Gander Mountain Parking Lot.

Dozens of east Texans started cooking their homemade chili recipes first thing in the morning before they had to enter their pots into the contest by 2 p.m.

Local celebrity judges included KETK's Kaci Koviak and Michael Wesp, and "Slic Vic" from Storage Wars Texas.

Fans of the show can meet "Slic Vic" and the cast Tuesday night, during it's new season premiere at Breakers in Tyler at 9 p.m.
