tyler — The Rose City Chili Cookoff makes it 31st appearance in Tyler this spring.

What: 31st Ever Rose City Chili Cookoff, Tyler Texas

When: March 3, 2012; Gates open at 11:00 a.m.

Where: Gander Mountain – Hwy 69 South

Registration: Registration begins at 8:30 AM Saturday; Good bags for the first 50 registered cooks; CASI sanctioned cookoff - $20 entry fee, must be turned in at 2:00 p.m.

Other info: $5 donation includes tasting cup. Concession, Arts & Crafts vendors will also be set-up.

Other competitions include a bean cookoff; $10 entry,must be turned in at 12 p.m., 50/50 payback; Junior division chili for ages 17 and under, $10 entry fee, must be turned in at 1:00.

Proceeds will benefit  the Shriner's Children's Hospital-Galveston Burn Center.

Judges are needed for all areas of competition.
