The Troup Tigers are getting the fourth-winningest coach in Texas high school football history.

Dennis Alexander is the lone finalist for the job.

Troup will make it official Monday.

Alexander is going into his 41st season as a head coach.

He has won a total of 323 games

He's coached at Henderson, Hughes Spring, Daingerfield and Harleton.

He's won two state championships.

Coach Alexander is taking on this new challenge at age 64.
