Smith County, Texas (KETK) — The Smith County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating four children who were taken by their non-custodial mother in violation of a court order.
Dora Elia Martinez, 33, took her four children from the home of a relative on Monday, March 24, 2014. The children were placed there by Child Protective Services after a narcotics raid at Martinez's home on December 10, 2013.
Martinez lied to a family member, telling her sister she had permission to take the children without supervision. According to CPS spokeswoman Shari Pulliam, the mother was only to see the children under official watch.
The Smith County Sheriff's Office is searching for Martinez and her children Jared Ayala Martinez, 4 months, Jesus Ayala Martinez, 5, Jose Ayala Martinez, 7, and Jonhy Ayala Martinez, 10.
Martinez is described as 5 feet 1 inch and weighs 135 pounds. She is wanted on four counts of interference with child custody.
She may be driving an older model maroon, four-door Ford Explorer.
The Sheriff's Office has photos of Dora Martinez and the two oldest children. If anyone sees the mother or any of these children, please call the Smith County Sheriff's Office at 903-566-6600.
The father of the children is currently in jail for manufacturing and delivery of an illegel substance.
