Nacogdoches, TX — Seven people, including a freelance photographer, were arrested on Tuesday during a four-hour human blockade in Livingston to protest construction of the southern leg of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
“The blockaders represent a collection of landowners from the Red River Valley to Houston, including a farmer, a businessman, one young man from California and someone from Louisiana,” said Ron Seifert, a spokesman for Tar Sands Blockade. “I can’t confirm exactly what they were charged with, but most likely it was trespassing.”
