7 injured in Kilgore crash

Kilgore, Texas (KETK) — Two families were hospitalized following a major two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Highway 259 and Highway 31.
According to Kilgore Assistant Police Chief Roman Roberson, the wreck occurred around 2:25 p.m. when a driver failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle. Police said the vehicle was driving south on 259 N when the driver attempted to turn east onto FM 349 and was T-boned by another vehicle headed in the opposite direcrtion.
A mother and her two young sons were taken to a Kilgore hospital. The second vehicle was carrying a mother and her three children -- two boys and a girl . They were all hospitalized in Longview. All seven suffered only minor injuries.
The names of the passengers have not been released.
Wreckage has since been cleared by emergency crews.
