Hillary Clinton can add one more accolade to her resume for any future presidential runs, an award that will be given to her by a Bush, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

In September, Clinton is scheduled to receive the National Constitution Center's 2013 Liberty Medal, which seeks to honor men and women who promote freedom around the world.

"Former Secretary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy," Jeb Bush, who is chairman of the Constitution Center, said in a statement released Thursday. "These efforts as a citizen, an activist, and a leader have earned Secretary Clinton this year's Liberty Medal."

In recognizing Clinton, the Constitution Center focused on Clinton's work both as first lady and as a U.S. senator as well as her time as secretary of state, promoting women's issues, health care and global diplomacy, among others.

Based in Philadelphia, the center includes a museum and serves as a hub for conversations on the Constitution and promoting citizenship.

The Liberty Medal was first conceived in 1988 in commemoration of the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution Center took over the administration of the medal in 2006. Past awardees have included Muhammad Ali, former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, filmmaker Steven Spielberg and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.

Clinton has declined to comment on any plans to run for president again in 2016 but that hasn't stopped speculation, or preparation.

Supporting Clinton is the Ready for Hillary PAC, formed with the explicit purpose of encouraging her to run and paving the way for a campaign. And she has already received the endorsements of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-New York.

Opposing the former secretary of state is the political action committee America Rising, which has a fundraising luncheon scheduled for next month in support of its effort.

If she does run for the White House, Clinton is expected to instantly become the overwhelming front runner for the Democratic nomination.
