James Calvert, the man who reportedly shot and killed the missing little boy's mother has quite the track record. Calvert, of Whitehouse, is nothing surprising to local law enforcement. According to Smith County court records:

In May of 1999 he was charged with aggravated assault and family violence.

In September of 2009 he was charged for violation of protective order.

In december 2009 he was charged for violation of bond and protective order.

In May of 2010 he was charged for violation of protective order.

In May of this year he was involved in a custody battle with his ex-wife and, according to court records, the most recent hearing was on October 19th.

Anybody who has been through the system can tell you this record defines a man who has been denied access to his child by a woman who has used protective orders as a form of kidnapping. There are two sides to every story and the side not being mentioned here is that some men snap under the emotional stress caused when a woman denies a man his right to parent and love his own child. In a court where a paranoid lunatic is judge that hates men presides, this is an outcome.

What?! I see a man that is very controlling and abusive and I see another woman who once again left her abuser and still wound up dead. How you can justify is actions makes me fearful for any woman or child in your life.

It was not the judge who made the decision in his case - it was a jury. This man's previous criminal record speaks for itself. This is not a matter of him snapping. This is a matter of him using violence when things don't go his way. His first arrest was in 1999 - well before this child was born and before any court proceedings. Further, your conclusion is that the way to convince people that you are an honorable but wronged man is to kill because you did not get your way.
