Longview police say alcohol may have been a factor

January 30, 2009 - 5:25pm
LONGVIEW - A pedestrian was killed in Longview Thursday — after being hit by a car.
Longview P.D.says the man tried to cross the street in the 1000 block of East Marshall Avenue.
Officers say when he stepped out in the road he was hit by Crystal Ruiz of Longview.
Officers say it was not Ruiz's fault because the pedestrian failed to yield.
Investigators say they believe the man was intoxicated.
They are not releasing his name at this time.
