Abortion Doctor Killed Outside Church
May 31, 2009 - 4:21pm
WICHITA, Ks. - A controversial Kansas abortion doctor has been killed at a Wichita church.
George Tiller was shot to death this morning as he walked to services at the Reformation Lutheran Church where he was a member.
Tiller became a lightning rod in the debate over abortion, when he started offering late term abortions at his clinic in Wichita in 1973.
In 1993, Tiller was shot outside his clinic by an anti-abortion protester.
The 67 year-old Tiller was one of only three doctors in the United States who perform late-term abortions.

We are reminded once again that the perfervid language of the so called "Pro-Life" movement results in violence.
This doctor is not the first victim and will not likely be the last.
The crocodile tears of right wing groups cannot disguise the reality that they have goaded, incited and encouraged their membership to murderous violence and that murderous violence has been the result over and over and over again.
In a representative democracy there are many legitimate ways to effect change. Inciting the use of guns and bombs are not among them.
