KETK has received multiple reports of accidents that have occurred all over East Texas, Friday morning.

With the roads being slick to due the rain, which we are blessed to have, KETK asks all drivers to use extra caution when traveling in this weather. Also, be aware and drive defensively.

Viewers tell KETK they have received five inches of rain, or more, in various East Texas areas.

Also, the National Weather Service has issued Areal Flood Advisories for Anderson, Camp, Franklin, Harrison, Henderson, Marion, Morris, Panola, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood counties.

The Smith County Sheriff's Office tells KETK, there is flooding over a bridge on County Road 411 and a tree down on Farm to Market Road 724 north of Loop 49. Douglas Boulevard, near the Tyler Medical District, is also flooded on both sides of the road.

Tyler Police tell KETK, the traffic light at Highway 155 North and Highway 271 North is out. The intersection is not closed, however traffic may get extremely congested.

The Longview Police Department has closed the following roads due to flooding and storm damages:

  • 500 Block of Pine Tree Road to Loop 281.
  • Airline Road from Hollybrook to Drake.
  • 5000 Block of West Loop 281.
  • West Loop 281 and Shofner.
  • Scenic Drive in front of Penwood Apartments.
  • High Street and Nelson Street.
  • Marshall Avenue and Ward Street.
  • Baylor Drive and McCann Road.
  • Mobberly and Methvin.
  • Hutchins and Level.
  • Thelma and Wagner.
  • 700 Block of Premier.
  • 500 Block of Pine Tree Road.
  • 500 Block of Travis Street.
  • High and Cotton Street underpass.
  • Green and Nelson Streets.

KETK will update information on power outages and damage when it becomes available.
