Longview, TX — The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center of Gregg and Harrison counties is holding two public events in recognition of April’s designation as Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The “Raising Hope” celebration will be noon Thursday at the Gregg County Courthouse in downtown Longview, followed by an open house from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the center, 606 W. Garfield Drive, Suite D in Longview.

The Martin House Children’s Advocacy Center is a nonprofit organization that provides a child-friendly environment for children age 3 to 17 who have been abused to talk with specially trained interviewers. Counseling and referral services also are offered to children and their caregivers.
