SAN ANTONIO - The F.B.I. says it has captured the bank robber known as the Bayou Bandit.

46 year-old Douglas Edward Ford was captured Friday in San Antonio.

Ford was called the Bayou Bandit after a string of bank robberies in Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.

Each robbery was carried out the same way. The suspect entered the bank with a bag and a note demanding money.

Ford is suspected of robbing at least twelve banks since March.
